Multiple conditions and sizes, all certified by a licensed surveyor

E&S Equipment Sales sells new one-trip and cargo worthy used shipping containers in 10, 20, 40, and 45 foot lengths. We also handle specialty configurations, refrigerated units, in-house modifications, delivery, and CSC certification for ocean travel. Every container is inspected by a licensed surveyor before it ships, anywhere in Florida and Georgia.

We have been family owned since 2010 and have delivered more than 11,000 containers. Michael Bader, who founded the company, spent 30 years in shipping and intermodal and holds the surveyor license himself. We own our inventory. That is why we can tell you what is actually sitting in the yard this week.

Most people land here with a job in mind and no idea which container does it. That takes about five minutes on the phone to sort out. If you already know what you want, skip ahead and request a written quote.

What we sell

Two grades, five sizes, and a set of specialty configurations. Here is what each one is for.

New one-trip shipping container for sale in Florida with original paint

New one-trip containers

Built overseas, loaded once for the voyage to the US, then sold. Original paint, clean interiors, and a 5 year warranty. If the container will sit somewhere people see it, or you are planning modifications, start here.

Best formodification projects, customer-facing sites, anything you want looking sharp in year ten.

Cargo worthy used shipping container certified by a licensed surveyor

Cargo worthy used containers

Used containers certified structurally sound and still legal for ocean shipping. Expect faded paint and surface rust. Expect the doors to seal and the roof to hold. Two year warranty, and this is what most of our customers buy.

Best forjob sites, farms, home storage, anywhere function beats appearance.

20 foot and 40 foot shipping containers available from E&S Equipment Sales

Standard sizes, 10 to 45 feet

Ten, twenty, and forty foot lengths in standard height, plus forty and forty-five foot high cubes with an extra foot of headroom. The 20 footer is the everyday workhorse and outsells everything else we carry.

Best forthe majority of storage jobs, residential through commercial.

Open-side shipping container with the full side wall folded open

Specialty configurations

Double-door, tri-door, open-side, quad-door, and open-top units, built that way at the factory rather than cut in afterward. Most sellers stock one or two configurations. We carry the range.

Best fordrive-through access, side loading, and oversized items that will not fit through end doors.

Refrigerated shipping container for temperature controlled storage

Refrigerated and insulated

Reefers with a working cooling unit for temperature-controlled storage, and non-running insulated units that keep the heavy insulation without needing power. Reefers need a power source on site, so plan for that early.

Best forcold storage, feed and seed through a Florida summer, anything that suffers in the heat.

Shipping container modified in-house by E&S Equipment Sales

Custom modifications

Roll-up doors, man doors, windows, wall A/C cutouts, ramps, lock boxes, and custom paint. Every opening is cut, reinforced, and finished in our own shop, on the same containers we sell. Standard work runs 3 to 5 weeks.

Best forcontainer workshops, offices, equipment access, and anything a plain box cannot do.

Which one fits your project?

Two questions settle most of it. How much are you storing, and how do you need to get at it. Appearance only matters if the container will be seen.

You want the most container for the money and looks do not matter
Cargo worthy used
The container will be visible, branded, or heavily modified
New one-trip
Your lot is tight, or a setback line is squeezing you
10 foot
You are storing the contents of a house or a crew's worth of tools
20 foot
You need bulk volume and have room to place it
40 or 45 foot high cube
A forklift needs to drive in one end and out the other
Double-door
You are loading long items that will not turn through an end door
Open-side
Temperature matters, and you have power at the site
Refrigerated
The container is going on a ship
One-trip or cargo worthy, CSC certified

Still on the fence? Call and we will match a unit to your site and your load.

Sizes we stock

Standard height runs 8 feet 6 inches. High cube adds a foot of headroom on the same footprint, which matters more than people expect once shelving goes in.

SizeOutside footprintWhere it usually ends up
10 ft10' x 8' x 8'6"Tight lots, small yards, tools and equipment
20 ft20' x 8' x 8'6"The everyday workhorse. Job sites, farms, home storage
40 ft standard40' x 8' x 8'6"Bulk storage, inventory, larger equipment
40 ft high cube40' x 8' x 9'6"Same footprint, an extra foot of headroom
45 ft high cube45' x 8' x 9'6"Maximum volume when you have room to place it

A 10 foot and a 20 foot cost the same per mile to deliver, so the smaller box does not save what people expect. The 40s and 45s run slightly more per mile because they are heavier and catch more wind on the highway.

Ten footers are their own animal, hard to source and popular with anyone fighting a setback line or an HOA. We keep a dedicated page on 10 foot containers for that reason.

Tare weights are averages. Actual tare weight depends on the container manufacturer.

The two grades worth buying

There are four container grades on the market. We stock two of them, and both are inspected by a licensed surveyor before delivery.

GradeConditionWarranty
New one-tripOne ocean voyage, like-new with minimal wear5 years
Cargo worthyUsed, inspected and certified for structural integrity2 years

The other two are where buyers get burned. Wind and water tight units are cheaper by a few hundred dollars, and some sellers list them as cargo worthy anyway. They may have rust, dents, or doors that fight you, and they cannot be certified for ocean travel.

As-is containers come with no promises of any kind. We do not sell those at all, and they never go into rent to own.

Both grades we sell carry a written warranty, and both are signed off by a licensed surveyor before they leave the yard. That is what a discount grade cannot give you. We would rather lose a sale than drop a wind and water tight unit on your property and call it something else.

Built that way, or added after

These two get mixed up constantly. A specialty container leaves the factory in that configuration. A modification is work we do to a standard container in our own shop. Both end up doing the job, but the framing and the timeline are different.

Specialty containers

Factory-built

Double-door, tri-door, open-side, quad-door, open-top, refrigerated, and insulated units. The framing and hardware are engineered around the configuration, so nothing is compensating for a cut opening. Ships on the standard delivery timeline.

See specialty containers

Modifications

Added after

Man doors, roll-up doors, windows, wall A/C cutouts, ramps, lock boxes, and custom paint. We cut, reinforce, and finish each opening in-house. Standard work runs 3 to 5 weeks, so build that into your timeline before you promise anyone a date.

Modifications we offer

  • Roll up doorsWide, unobstructed access. The go-to when a forklift or a mower has to get in and out.
  • Man doorsA standard personnel door so you are not swinging cargo doors every time you need one thing.
  • WindowsCut, framed, and sealed against Florida rain.
  • Lock boxesA steel shroud over the padlock so bolt cutters cannot reach it.
  • Additional ventsPassive airflow to cut condensation when active cooling is overkill.
  • Wall A/C cutoutsWe do the structural work. A licensed HVAC contractor installs the unit.
  • RampsBuilt to your container height and ground conditions for wheeled equipment.
  • Custom paintBranding or corrosion protection. The reliable answer when a color is not negotiable.
  • Custom requestsTell us what the job needs. Fifteen years of fabrication says we have probably built it.

Sometimes the answer is both. A double-door container with a roll-up door added to one side gives you cargo access from both ends plus a quick everyday entry.

Who we sell to

The container is the same. The paperwork and the conversation are not. A few of the customers we deliver to across Florida and Georgia.

Construction and job sites

Secure tool and material storage that moves with the project, with drive-through options for forklift staging.

Farms and agriculture

Hay, feed, seed, and equipment kept dry without putting up a barn. Insulated units hold up through summer.

Commercial and retail

Overflow inventory, seasonal stock, and renovation storage parked on your own lot where you control the access.

Government and municipal

Cities, counties, school districts, and federal work. We are registered on SAM.gov and handle bid documentation.

Export and freight

CSC-certified containers for the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and other overseas destinations.

Homeowners

One container, delivered to the house, from someone who will explain what you are actually buying.

Certified for ocean travel

Shipping a container overseas? We can certify it.

Most sellers cannot certify a container for ocean transport. We can. Michael Bader is a licensed container surveyor, so he inspects units and issues the CSC certificate for international shipping himself.

Only new one-trip and cargo worthy containers qualify. Wind and water tight units do not, no matter what a seller tells you. Buying a cheaper grade and hoping to certify it later does not work. Tell us up front that the container is going on a ship and we will make sure what we sell you can actually get there.

How delivery works

Most delivery headaches come down to site access, not the container. Here is what to sort out before your unit ships.

How it arrives

  • Our own CDL-licensed drivers deliver on tilt-bed trailers. The bed lifts and the container slides off where you want it.
  • Standard delivery runs 12 to 18 business days, with 6 to 11 and 3 to 5 day options when you need it sooner. No weekend deliveries.
  • Pricing is calculated from whichever depot sits closest to you, so a Miami buyer is not paying for miles from Lake City. We pull from container depots throughout the southeast US.
  • Standard placement is included at no extra charge. Tell us which way the doors should face before it ships.

Prep your site

  • Firm, level ground. Soft or uneven spots cause door and delivery problems. A gravel pad helps on rural sites.
  • A clear straight run for the truck. Our transports run 65 feet or more counting the tractor and trailer.
  • Check overhead clearance for branches and power lines, and flag them at scheduling. Delivery day is too late.
  • Tight access or unusual ground conditions? Tell us up front so we can plan the approach.

Buy outright or rent to own

Two ways to get a container on your property. Pick what fits your budget and your timeline.

Buy outright

Wholesale pricing straight from our own inventory, with no broker markup. You own the container the day it lands.

About 60 percent of our customers pay in full before delivery. The rest put down a 50 percent deposit with the balance due in cash on arrival. We do not take personal checks or credit cards at delivery.

Rent to own

A low barrier way to get storage on your property now and spread the cost over time. Same grades we sell outright, since as-is containers never go into the program.

Common questions

Which container size do most people buy?
The 20 footer, by a wide margin. It holds roughly the contents of a two or three bedroom house, fits on most residential lots, and costs the same per mile to deliver as a 10 footer, so the smaller box does not save what people expect.
What is the difference between a new one-trip and a cargo worthy container?
A one-trip has made a single voyage and looks close to new, with a 5 year warranty. A cargo worthy container has years of ocean service behind it, shows cosmetic wear, and carries a 2 year warranty. Both are structurally sound and both can be certified for ocean shipping. Our buying guide covers the grades in detail.
Can I pick the color of my container?
You can ask and we will try. Containers arrive at the depots in lots, usually all one color, and inventory turns over constantly, so we cannot guarantee it. Custom paint is the reliable answer when the color is not negotiable.
How long do modifications take?
Three to five weeks from approval, depending on scope. A single door or window sits at the short end and a multi-modification build takes longer. We do not handle interior lighting or electrical, so line up an electrician if your plan needs power inside. Full details are on the modifications page.
Do you deliver outside Florida and Georgia?
Florida and Georgia are our service area. Call with your location and we will tell you straight whether we can help.
How does payment work?
About 60 percent of our customers pay in full before delivery. If you would rather not, we take a 50 percent deposit up front with the balance due in cash when the container arrives. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards at delivery. Rent to own is there if you want to spread the cost.

Tell us what you are storing

Send the size, the grade, your delivery zip code, and roughly when you need it, and we will come back with a written quote. Or call and talk it through with Michael or Jackie. Better containers, professional service, same as it has been since 2010.
