Most sellers stock one or two sizes. We stock the whole range.
A lot of companies you find online sell new containers or used containers and nothing past that. Specialty configurations like open-side or quad-door units, plus the in-house work to modify them, sit outside what a broker can handle. That is where we come in.
E&S Equipment Sales is a family-owned business that has sold and delivered more than 11,000 containers since 2010. Our owner, Michael Bader, is a licensed container surveyor who inspects every unit before it ships. We own our inventory, run our own trucks, and do our own fabrication.

The specialty containers we carry
Each configuration solves a different access or storage problem. Here is what each one does, what it suits, and how to price it for your site.
Double-door (tunnel) containers
Cargo doors on both ends for true drive-through access. These are built this way at the factory, not cut and welded after the fact, so the framing is engineered for it. Available in 20 and 40 foot lengths.
Best forforklift staging, crews pulling material from either end, farm drive-through for hay and grain.
Tri-door containers
Standard cargo doors on one end plus two more doors along the side. You get more ways in than a standard box without the fully open wall of an open-side unit, so you can reach one section of your load without unpacking from the front. We carry these as new one-trip units in standard and high cube height.
Best forjob sites that need quick side access, sectioned inventory, organized storage with more than one entry point.
Open-side containers
A full side wall that folds open on bi-fold doors, giving you about 40 feet of side access instead of a single door opening. We stock these new, since used open-side units are rare in the market.
Best forloading long or bulky items, market and retail setups, gear that will not fit through standard end doors.
Quad-door containers
End doors plus open-side access on the same unit. The most flexible loading container we sell, with reach from more than one direction at once.
Best forhigh-volume operations that need to get at contents fast from multiple sides.
Open-top containers
A removable or soft top instead of a fixed steel roof, so cargo can load from above with a crane or loader. Handy when items are too tall or too awkward to come through the doors.
Best foroversized loads, tall equipment, top-down loading.
Refrigerated (reefer) containers
Insulated steel boxes with a built-in cooling unit for temperature-controlled storage. A reefer needs a power source to run, so plan for that on your site.
Best forcold storage, perishable goods, anything that has to stay cool.
Non-running insulated containers
A refrigerated container with the cooling equipment left off. You keep the heavy insulation and the sealed shell without running power to it, which holds interior temperatures down through a Florida or Georgia summer.
Best fortemperature-buffered dry storage, feed and grain, climate-sensitive items that do not need active cooling.

Specialty configurations are only part of what we carry. If you need a compact footprint, our 10 foot containers fit tight lots and small yards where a 20 or 40 will not sit. We also stock 20, 40, and 45 foot units in new one-trip and cargo worthy used.

Sizes, grades, and what holds up
Most specialty containers come in 20 and 40 foot lengths, with high cube height available on many 40 foot units for an extra foot of headroom. Open-side and quad-door units are built new. Double-door and refrigerated containers come in both new and used.
We sell and recommend two grades. Both are inspected by a licensed surveyor before delivery.

One thing worth knowing. Some sellers list wind and water tight units as cargo worthy at a small discount, which sets the wrong expectation for the buyer. Specialty containers vs. modifications
These two get mixed up constantly, so here is the difference. A specialty container is built that way at the factory. The double doors, the open side, the insulation, all of it is engineered into the unit from the start. A modification is a change made to a standard container after it is built.

Double-door, tri-door, open-side, quad-door, open-top, refrigerated, and insulated units. The framing and hardware are designed around the configuration, so structural strength is built in.
Modifications
Added after
Man doors, roll-up doors, windows, wall A/C cutouts, ramps, lock boxes, and custom paint. We cut, reinforce, and finish each opening in-house. Standard modifications take 3 to 5 weeks.
Sometimes the right answer is both. A double-door container with a roll-up door added to one side gives you cargo access from both ends plus a quick entry on the long wall. Certified for ocean travel
Shipping a container overseas? We can certify it.
Most sellers cannot certify a container for ocean transport. We can. Our owner, Michael Bader, is a licensed container surveyor, so he inspects units and issues the CSC certificate required for international shipping in-house, not through a third party.
Only new one-trip and cargo worthy containers qualify for ocean travel. Wind and water tight units do not, no matter what a seller tells you. If you are shipping to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, or anywhere overseas, that certificate is the difference between a container that sails and one that gets turned away at the port.

Most delivery headaches come down to site access, not the container. Here is what to sort out before your unit ships.
How it arrives
- Our own CDL-licensed drivers deliver on tilt-bed trailers. The bed lifts and the container slides off where you want it.
- Tell us which way the doors should face before it ships. Turning it around after drop-off is tough.
- Standard placement is included at no extra charge.
- Standard delivery runs 12 to 18 business days, with 6 to 11 or 3 to 5 day options when you need it sooner. No weekend deliveries.
Prep your site
- Firm, level ground. Soft or uneven spots cause door and delivery problems. A gravel pad helps on rural sites.
- A clear straight run for the truck, roughly 100 feet for a 40 foot unit.
- Check overhead clearance for branches and power lines, and flag them when you schedule, not on delivery day.
- Tight access or unusual ground conditions? Tell us up front so we can plan the approach.
