Why Choose E&S Equipment Sales? (No Brokers, Just Better Containers)

by | Apr 12, 2023 | E&S News | 0 comments

E&S Equipment Sales is a family-owned container dealer that has delivered more than 12,000 shipping containers across Florida and Georgia since 2010. We own our yard, our trucks, and our inventory, so there is no broker markup and no third party deciding which container shows up at your site.

E&S Equipment Sales has been selling shipping containers across Florida and Georgia since 2010. The business is family-owned, and the experience behind it goes back a lot further than the founding year suggests. Michael Bader, our owner, spent more than 30 years in the ocean cargo and intermodal industry before opening our doors, working as a logistics and maintenance manager for major cargo lines out of West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

When he saw how many Floridians and Georgians were getting stuck with sheds, barns, and self-storage units that didn’t fit their needs, he saw an opening. People needed serious, weatherproof storage that could sit on a farm, a job site, or a backyard for decades. Shipping containers were the answer. E&S was born to bring them straight to the customer, without the middleman.

Fifteen years later, that’s still what we do. Just on a much bigger scale.

What 12,000+ containers later looks like

In 2026 we delivered our 12,000th container. That milestone covers a lot of ground: individuals, farms, contractors, auto dealers, HOAs, equipment companies, school districts, and city and county governments across Florida and Georgia. We sell to anyone who needs honest storage at a fair price, but our roots are in commercial and government work, and that experience shapes everything we sell.

A few things we’re proud of:

  • Michael is a licensed container surveyor, which means we can issue CSC certificates for containers heading overseas. Most of our competitors can’t.
  • Every container is inspected before it leaves our depot.
  • We hold direct inventory and skip the broker model entirely, which is how we keep wholesale pricing available to the public.
  • All our drivers are CDL-licensed, and the company is fully licensed and insured.
  • We’ve been members of the National Portable Storage Association for over 11 years, the Florida Self Storage Association for over 8 years, and the Columbia County and Suwannee County Chambers of Commerce. We’re also registered on SAM.gov for federal contracts.

You’re not buying from a call center reading off a screen. You’re buying from a team that’s been selling steel for a living since the 1990s.

A real one-stop shop, not just a sales rep

Plenty of container companies will sell you a box and disappear. That’s not the business we built. Beyond new One-Trip and Cargo Worthy used containers in 10′, 20′, 40′, and 45′ high cube sizes, we also handle some modifications in-house. Man doors, roll-up doors, windows, wall A/C units, ramps, lock boxes, custom paint, we’ve been doing this work for 15 years. Most of our competitors don’t touch mods at all.

We also stock specialty equipment that’s harder to find: refrigerated reefers, non-running insulated units, double-door containers (manufactured that way in China, not converted after the fact), open-side, quad-door, and open-top units.

Need it delivered? We run our own transports out of container depots throughout the southeast US, with primary inventory in Miami, Jacksonville, and Savannah. Delivery cost is calculated from the closest depot to your jobsite, not from our main office, which usually saves customers a meaningful chunk. We never charge extra for placement.

Serving Florida and Georgia

We work across the state of Florida and into Georgia. We’re not a national broker, farming leads out to whoever’s closest. When you call us, you’re talking to the same team that owns the truck, surveys the container, and answers the phone three weeks from now when you have a question.

That focus is on purpose. It’s how we keep service tight, delivery windows reliable, and quality consistent. Our tagline, “Better Containers, Professional Service,” isn’t a marketing line we paid someone to write. It’s the whole reason Michael started the company.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long has E&S Equipment been in business?

We were founded in 2010, which makes 2025 our 15th year selling shipping containers. Michael’s experience in the industry stretches back to the early 1990s.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver throughout Florida and into Georgia. That’s our service area, and we don’t farm jobs out beyond it. Delivery costs are calculated from the closest depot to your delivery address, with primary inventory in Miami, Jacksonville, and Savannah.

Are your containers inspected before sale?

Yes. Michael is a licensed container surveyor, and every container is inspected before it leaves our depot. We sell two grades: New One-Trip and Cargo Worthy used. Both are stocked to standards that hold up for long-term storage.

Can you certify containers for ocean shipping?

We can. Because Michael holds a container surveyor license, we’re able to issue CSC certificates on containers heading overseas. This is something most container dealers can’t do in-house, and it matters if you’re shipping to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, or anywhere else by sea.

What’s the difference between E&S and a national container broker?

Brokers list inventory they’ve never seen, take your deposit, and pass the order to whatever local company will fulfill it cheapest. That’s how customers end up with delivery no-shows, surprise charges, and containers that don’t match what they paid for. We own the trucks, we own the inventory, and we survey the containers ourselves. There’s no one between you and us.

Do you modify containers, or just sell them?

Both. We’ve been doing modifications for 15 years. Man doors, roll-up doors, windows, wall-mounted A/C units, ramps, lock boxes, and custom paint are all available. Standard modifications typically run 3 to 5 weeks depending on scope.

How long does delivery take?

We offer three tiers: standard (12 to 18 business days), expedited (6 to 11 business days), and rush (3 to 5 business days). Pick the one that fits your timeline when you request a quote.

How do I get a quote?

Use the Request a Quote form on our website for a written quote on company letterhead, or call us at 800-995-2417 if you’d rather talk it through. We’ll need your delivery zip code, the size and grade you’re after, any modifications, and your timeframe.
